So far only Asians win at the 2009 JWC in Bucharest
Up to the third day into the 2009 Junior World Championships running in the Romanian capital, Bucharest, with two women’s and two men’s categories completed, only Asians were crowned world champions.
The 56kg gold was “traditionally” taken by Wu Jingbiao, CHN, but in the 62kg Indonesia’s star Irawan retained his supremacy.
The women opened with Khamsri of Thailand winning in the lightest category and Hsu Shu-Ching took the honours in the 53kg class, winning the total gold medal for Chinese Taipei by better result in the snatch than China’s Chen Yatian.
